Sue Wheeler

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Principal

Sue Graduated from London in 1983 and worked in both small animal and mixed practice in various parts of the country before settling in Dorset and establishing Ark-Aid Veterinary Centre in 1987. She then went on to open Bournemouth Road Veterinary Centre in 2002. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and radiography. Sue is currently working at the Bournemouth Road practice for most of the time but is often seen at Ark-Aid in a clinical or managerial capacity.

Dinah Skertchly

Dinah joined us in July 2009 having spent time working in small animal practice in Essex Dinah qualified from London in 2003 having completed an intercalated degree in biochemistry along the way. Dinah’s interests are in Internal medicine and she is currently studying for a certificate in small animal medicine.

Veterinary Surgeon

Kevin joined Ark-Aid in March 2009. He qualified from Glasgow in 2001 and performs the majority of the orthopaedics at the practice.

Emily joined as a locum to cover maternity leave in April 2009 and took up a permanent position later that year She divides her time between Bournemouth Road and Ark-Aid practices. Emily qualified in 2003 from Bristol

Julie joined the practice in 2003 as a trainee and qualidfied as a VN in 2006 She stayed on at the practice after qualifying and is our head nurse.

Karen worked full time at Ark-Aid and was head nurse before having a family. She has now returned part time as her children have reached school age.

Paula has worked as a trainee at Ark-Aid since 2006 Her interests are her pet Labrador and cats.

Tracy joined Ark-Aid in November 2009 as our newest trainee.

Terri joined Ark-Aid as a part time receptionist following her retirement from the police force Her interests are horse riding.
